We are delighted to welcome Larry Gardiner, who has lived with younger onset dementia for some years, as a contributor to the Dementia Project Blog. Elizabeth met Larry at the Dementia: A National Crisis conference in Birmingham in December 2012 when she was representing the Aston Research Centre for Healthy Ageing (ARCHA). Since then Larry and Elizabeth have appeared on BBC WM Sunday Breakfast together talking about younger onset dementia. Among his dementia advocacy and activist work Larry is an advisor for YoungDementia UK. Elizabeth is fundraising for YoungDementia UK by running the Edinburgh Marathon in May.
