Calling LGBT people with dementia…

Posted in Dementia Project News

Do you have dementia and identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans?

Would you like to meet other LGBT people with dementia?

A new LGBT dementia group and intergenerational support project is being organised by the University of Worcester in partnership with LGBT organisations in Birmingham (Birmingham LGBT Centre) and London (PACE Health). The project is funded by DEEP (Dementia Engagement and Empowerment Project), in partnership with Innovations in Dementia, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the Mental Health Foundation and supported by Comic Relief.

If you would like to get involved, or would like more information please contact Liz Peel on e.peel@worc.ac.uk or phone Michelle King on 01905 855362.

    • Oh dear, you’re clearly far more wordpress savvy than me! I’ve just followed SAND on twitter. I’d be everso grateful if you could promote this project – I have a feeling that LGBT people with dementia will be a very hard group to find. Best wishes Liz
